Advice for Freshmen:

My advice to freshman would be to focus one day at a time. Sometimes when you have to write way too much in your planner, you can become extremely stressed. I know I get stressed when looking at the whole week (or weeks) ahead of me. Instead, focus on just today. Do not look at tomorrow or the next day. Do not look at yesterday or the day before. Focus on living in just one moment at a time. Relax!

Favorite Moment at MSU:

My favorite moment at Mississippi State would have to be the first time I made the infamous college meal, ramen noodles. I got so excited when I bought packs and packs from the grocery store because I was finally the typical college "cool" kid. I got back to my dorm and was going to make some for lunch when I all of a sudden realized I had no clue what I was doing. I've baked cookies and made mac and cheese before, but I am no pro in the kitchen....not even with ramen. I sent out a mass text in a panic, and I had so many people texting me within seconds helping with my dire emergency. I realized in that moment that although I was inexperienced in all things home ec, I would be surrounded by wonderful people to help me along my way at Mississippi State. (I am now a pro at ramen.)
