Advice for Freshmen:

"College is such a fun experience... if you make it. Get involved!! Get out of your comfort zone and try out for organizations on campus. And if you do that, you will meet so many amazing people and create lifelong friendships. But don't be discouraged if you try out for something and don't get it. That is just an encouragement to try out for something different because there is something greater waiting for you ahead. Take advantage of the light you are given and spread love to those around you!!"

How has New Maroon Camp impacted you? :

"I grew up going to the same school all my life, so I was worried about my transition to college because I had never experienced a big change in my life. But new maroon camp made the transition so much easier than it would have been if I didn't attend. My counselors were so loving and welcoming and I hope to be that loving figure for a new bulldog transitioning to college this upcoming fall."

Favorite MSU Memory:

"Homecoming court this year was one memory I will never forget. It was such a blessing to represent the freshman class. I met so many people and formed new relationships that I will cherish forever. Standing on the football field in Davis Wade stadium with thousands of people around me was truly a breathtaking experience."

Favorite MSU Tradition:

"The cowbell. No doubt! The cowbell makes the football stadium come alive on Saturday nights and there is nothing better than hearing thousands of cowbells ringing. The cowbell makes our university special in that no other school can say they have something like that to enhance their sporting events. And it drives ole miss fans crazy... so that's another positive!!:)"
