New Maroon Camp embodies the spirit of our Mississippi State family. As an out-of-state Indian student from Texas, I came to MSU carrying my culture, my values, and a hope to find a place where I could truly belong—and NMC became that place. It was the first community that made me feel seen, welcomed, and supported, no matter how far from home I was. Because of the love I received, I feel committed to pouring that same care into others and serving our new students with intention, compassion, and warmth. To me, NMC is where our diverse backgrounds come together to create a shared foundation of belonging, and my goal is to help every student feel valued, embraced, and confident as they begin their journey at Mississippi State.
