Advice for Incoming Students:

Get to know your roommate and try to befriend them- sometimes you draw a bad hand on that front but knowing and being friends with your roommate makes a world of difference. Make friends! The more connections you make especially earlier on in your college career the wider and denser your "network", as I call it, gets. This means more friends, more guidance, more opportunities, more resources, etc. Lastly, be you. College is a time to focus and plan for your future ahead, yes, but it is also meant for you to solidify, or at least understand who and what you are or could be. I've had many self-reflective moments while here- so I would say be you, and because of this you will make great friends who love you and who will rebound your kind of vibes back at you. And even though mistakes are inevitable, you don't want to look back on college regretting who you were or the way you acted the whole time.
