Advice for Freshmen:
Make an effort to get out of your comfort zone. I've found the most genuine friendships from following this tactic. For me this started from finding a random roommate, meeting people on my hall, and finding friends to in my first semester classes. It's hard at first to start conversations with people you don't know, but it produces great memories and friendships!

The cowbell! It sounds cliche but growing up in Alabama people didn't understand why it was important. Now that I know the history, I'm so proud of this tradition!
