How has New Maroon Camp impacted you? :

NMC has impacted me because it helped me fall in love with a place I never imagined myself going. Coming from South Carolina, I didn't know anyone at State. I found a true family through NMC. I met the best people I still hang out with everyday and made memories to last a lifetime. It helped me get comfortable with campus before I even started classes, and I felt like I belonged from the beginning.

Favorite Food:

Ice Cream

Favorite thing about Mississippi State:

My favorite thing about MSU is how everyone just loves each other! I came from a super small town and was honestly so confined by it. It was so refreshing coming to State where everyone is so positive and supportive. I feel loved by everyone on campus and couldn't love this environment more!

Favorite Moment at MSU:

My favorite moment at MSU was during the LSU game freshman year. All my friends and I were cheering on our dawgs and it was not going well. LSU scored within the first minute and it felt like it was going to be a long game. Before coming to State, I kept seeing tons of butterflies pop up and it was super strange. Butterflies are my nana's and my thing. It was kind of a symbol of comfort coming into freshman year. A butterfly flew right past me, and I knew it had to mean something good. I started freaking out, and all of my friends thought I was crazy. We soon scored, and we all thought it was cool how I called it. Now looking back, I am more appreciative of that memory in Davis Wade Stadium as my nana passed in April. I know she was always with me and supportive of me here at Mississippi State.
