"To me, New Maroon Camp has been the foundation for a successful college career. As an incoming freshman, I was nervous about starting a new chapter of my life and afraid I would struggle to feel at home in college. However, after meeting my amazing counselors on the first day of camp, I began to warm up to my new environment and make new friends. I soon found myself showing up to every New Maroon Camp event with my new friends, and I was having the time of my life! After having heartfelt conversations with my counselors and other campers, I started to gain confidence and believe I was capable of trying new things. For the rest of my freshmen year and the years to follow, I have approached college life with confidence and have not been afraid to reach for anything I set my mind too. I truly say I can attribute a lot of my collegiate success, even as an incoming senior, to New Maroon Camp, because it was New Maroon Camp that made my new campus feel like home!"
